When most people think of Club Car, they think of golf carts but the Georgia-based division of Ingersoll Rand also has a growing presence in the UTV market.
In late July, they took the wraps off of their latest creation a mid-sized X-R-T 950 that is sure to give other machines in its class fits.
The XRT 950 features an all new steel chassis, with independent front and rear suspensions. Power comes from a 14 horsepower v-twin from the Briggs and Stratton Vanguard line.
14 Horses may not seem like much power to performance riding enthusiast, but those looking for a capable and affordable work machine will find X-R-T 950 fits the bill. Its available in two or four wheel drive.
In our test in Virginia, we plowed the XRT through mud holes, up and down steep slopes, and put it to work hauling rocks, and it never backed down.
Plus, it features hydraulic disc brakes all the way around, plus CVT engine braking two features that arent normally found in the under 25 mph class of UTVs.
Best yet, the Club Car XRT 950 4-by-4 is available for just $7,599 in stock form, or for $8,899 for the Tricked-out EX model, which features a Bestop enclosure, plus a brush guard, fog lights and alloy wheels.
The XRT 950 will be available this fall at Club Car dealerships across the country.
The fall issue of UTV Magazine, which features information on the Club Car and dozens of other stock and modified side-by-sides, can be found on newsstands starting September 16.
